1. Who we are
LondonLore is an iOS application developed and operated by Sand Dollar Apps LLC
("we", "us", "our"). Our contact email is

2. What information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the app:
- Location data: When you use the map or curated walks, we access your device location to centre the map and calculate nearby plaques. Location data is used only on-device and is never transmitted to our servers.
- Voice queries: When you're online, your spoken query is sent to a cloud AI inference service to generate a response. When you're offline, queries are answered by an on-device model with no data leaving your phone. Queries are not stored beyond the duration of your session.
- Usage analytics: We may collect anonymised, aggregated analytics (e.g. which features are used, crash reports) via tools such as PostHog. This data cannot identify you personally.
- Support correspondence: If you contact us by email, we retain your message and email address solely to respond to your enquiry.
3. What we do not collect
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not collect your name, address, payment information, or any other personally identifying information.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, research, or AI model training.
4. Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Apple Maps / MapKit: For map display and directions. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- AI inference (Anthropic / on-device models): For narration and Q&A. Voice queries may be processed by Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic's data usage policies apply.
- PostHog: For anonymised usage analytics. Data is processed on EU-hosted infrastructure.
5. Data retention
We do not store personal data on our servers. Anonymised analytics data may be
retained for up to 12 months to help us improve the app. Support emails are
retained for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted.
6. Your rights
You may request deletion of any personal data we hold about you (for example,
a support email thread) by contacting us at
hello@londonlore.uk.
We will respond within 30 days.
7. Children
LondonLore is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe
a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we
will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date
at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of
the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
